But in saying ‘there’s summert not reyt darn theer’ - there’s also summert that’s very good darn theer.
And that includes the players we’ve seen at Oakwell in recent years.

Theres a good post on BBS at the moment underlining that.
    It’s discussing the scouting system.
As far as I’m aware there isn’t much of a scouting system now in the old sense of the word - but it’s still a good read.

If just half of those players mentioned were still at Barnsley we’d have at the very least an excellent Championship team.
It's actually an indictment that the model doesn't work given we are in to our second season in league and have or are experiencing financial issues that have prevented us from spending money in the transfer market .

If the model worked , we wouldn't be in this position .

Just sheer tribalism that people think differently and tribalism never has or ever will lead to good debate .

    Such a Conway denier.

All those positive things said - but ignores all of them and then ignores everything said about Conway so he can have the chance to say something negative about the club ‘we wouldn’t be in this position now’.

It’s as though Conway never existed.
Well you can wipe the slate clean with regards to Conway - but I and a lot more that think the same ain’t gunna do that.

    Another straw man built.

Accuse everyone of being Conway lovers and then attack people on those grounds.

I’m definitely not in the tribe ‘let’s all forget Conway ever existed’.
All of it engineered to create another opportunity to lash out - not just at the present owners but also James Cryne who identified the players.

Give credit where credit is due.

After reading all the abuse you gave Conway during that season - your comments now would be laughable if they weren’t that sad.

James Cryne may be on a Genius Pedestal for you Nudge.

For me he is just industry average in the football spreadsheet world. This season--

Loans---- Grant, Dodgson, McCart, McAtee, Roberts

Permanent----Shaw, Dallas, Lofthouse, Shepherd, Loparta, Killip, O'Keefe, Earl, Pines, Cosgrove, Durand, Watters

I would say loanees McAtee and Roberts are good Third Division level players gaining experience here, Durand jury out, Earl. Pines and Grant unknown quality. Beyond those six I wouldn't make big claims for the other eleven. 35% to 40% is the industry hit rate and James may get there if Earl, Pines and Grant prove OK.

Mladen Sormaz will bring Data Analytics stuff with him so James may have to take a back seat.

Cryne as SB has alluded to holds an industry standard record , no more than that , 40% success rate .

We are the same club we've always been , we produce some great players from time to time but not necessarily great teams .

You can count our great teams throughout our history on one hand .

It's not that difficult to see without rose tinted glasses , the history books are non fiction publications .
