I get the logic of selling to build but its obvious to me that you end up standing still or even going backwards doing this -
even if its for big money. We had this treadmill under Ashley and got nowhere. When you sell and replace it takes that player a year or two to develop then you sell that player again. It only favours the so called bigger clubs who get a ready made PL player because they have the budget. Not a fan.

I can understand the logic of buying potential,developing and selling on for big profits, for a club like Brighton who have small gates, but surely we are a different proposition? We shouldn’t be in a position where our top players are vulnerable. We need to demonstrate to our so called big players that we are ambitious, and that they will win trophies if they stay, if we can’t do that, then they will leave I’m sad to say.
