It's no surprise that some of the players have been demotivated since LW left. I cast my mind back to the first video of SM and his helpers running a training session, and I remember wondering then how the players (especially the more experienced ones) felt about the shouts of guidance and encouragement from folk with such uninspiring track records and lightweight personalities. It's how professional football works... players don't usually openly rebel against the managers that are foisted on them, they just go with the flow. The end result is there for all to see though. I didn't think it at the time, but now I'm wondering how much better it would have been if they'd just given JOB the job.

He (Baldwin) should also be given the maximum fine available. And if he feels like moving we should put together an alternative version of his 'moments' and see if anybody wants him. Fine player but concentration span of a goldfish. Still the best of the the back three which started tonight.

Lue was an excellent man manager but limited tactician (no formation change, which you'd expect the best to be able to do) and the rot had set in before he left once we had been worked out. Maynard has been unable to stem the tide and has actually accelerated it with no clue what to do (unsurprisingly). I feel for him, but I feel for the fans even more. He has to go.

I will concede that Cameron had a reasonable game but Nemane was his hopeless unproductive self. Five first half crosses, only one reached a Notts player and that was one of two he wildly overhit which Jones fashioned something from. He has 2 assists in 34 games, he is garbage but unfathomably he keeps being selected.

When we appointed Maynard I basically had no feelings whatsoever. Nothing intuitive and nothing that bred excitement.
    Always listen to your gut.
I couldn't agree more. I thought SM was totally uninspiring, but I couldn't have cared less provided he could find a way of doing the job. It seems obvious now that appointing him was a massive punt, which has gone spectacularly wrong.

Jones is our best player technically and I'm sure he probably knows this. His and Langstaff's interactions when celebrating goals have always struck me as reluctant. There's a lot personalities that could clash and be quite petulant. We don't have the resilience, the fight or passion that a harmonised squad rolling up the sleeves for their new manager has. Which I'd suggest boils down to ego and that they've probably had opposition players or mates taking the piss asking when their gaffer is coming to fix the WiFi.

I don't doubt that technically they could beat any side in this division if they were all at their best. I think they're weak mentally. Bully is a term often thrown to Wrexham but I think it suits us better. We took the piss and passed the little teams to death last season but where's the bravery or the *******s this year when it's an even playing field and the chips are down? We crumble defensively time and again. It's the worst I can remember us being at the back, whether that's statistically the case or not - they have to do so little to break us down.

Ruben and LW were the heart and soul of last season and we've lost both.
Ruben was at the match tonight, how we are missing him and his creativity.

Why does he need to change formations Klopp/Pep dont do it very often.

I know they have top players but they drill drill drill players on tactics/systems so they dont panic if losing.

This bloke panics changes tactics/formations and did it after 19 mins against Crewe which shows he got it badly wrong in the first place.

Football is a simple game really but idiots can complicate it.

It’s not the team selection. I don’t think SM is the man for us but he is hamstrung by a bunch of fairies.

I don’t think there is a player at the club who was more aggressive than the whole Sutton 11. That is 9 goals conceded against a club that will be in the National League next season. They are ****. They are a big side and we couldn’t lay a glove on them.

Harry Smith is arguably the biggest prick in football (apart from Baldwin) and we made him look like a 6ft 7in Pele.

Seeing Grimsby in trouble should serve as a warning as to what could happen to Notts, they finished 11th last season after winning the NL play offs the year before.

I honestly don’t know if Maynard’s the man or not but what I do know is we do need an overhaul in the summer.
Out of the 6 odd defenders and 3 keepers I think there’s only Baldwin I keep. I think the problem is unfortunately they’re not good enough and their confidence and desire has ebbed away and that was before LW left. The frightening thing it’s not just them that are struggling too.

Baldwin made a stupid mistake tonight but he’s been our best defender recently. Cameron and Rawlinson should not be near the team and Warner and our 3 keepers don’t inspire me with much confidence.
