    The devil is always in the detail. Clearly there's a lot behind a £5.4m increase to the cost base, and it's not just player costs, even with a couple of transfer fees and some meaty wages.

    EDIT -
    In fact, that would only cover two lower value signings and some higher value salaries on the frees. Clearly more behind that change.

    Rise in costs is made up of nearly £4m increase in wages - not surprising as this was for first season back in Championship - and £1m in other costs, some of which will just be inflation

    Interesting to see the full details behind some of this. 'Sponsorship', rent, provision of administrative services... all wrapped up under closely connected businesses. Having witnessed the persistent abuse Boothy got every week (and some of it justified - attendances announced were a regular source of amusement in the cash at the turnstiles days), too many seem far too comfortable with the current dynamics of the club and the top of Barbot Hall - why was it taking the pi55 back then, but now we have cleaner toilets many of those arrangements are overlooked?
