Thanks, but not much the wiser. Question remains…can we afford to go up and compete - I’m not expecting us to be instant promotion contenders - or might we face inevitable struggle just to ‘survive’?

Given the acquisitions of CBT, Adams and Gayle in the ‘extended’ window I have no doubts about Clowes’ willingness to ‘back the club’.
It would seem pointless to make such an outlay to try and achieve promotion if he’s then not going to ‘back’ our ability to stay up should we get there.
Having said that…I’d guess we’ll need at least half a dozen signings, all an improvement on the majority of last summer’s signings, if we’re to compete realistically. Won’t be easy but I guess we can only cross that bridge if and when we get there. We’ll see.
