I did hear a while ago that we'd got the wage bill down to something under £30 million in the Championship, that turns out to be a load of bollox, the Championship wages were £46.8 million, down from £82 million in the PL relegation season.

And the bottom line is that despite the reduced wage bill, despite the fire sale of players and despite the parachute payments, we posted a loss of £27.9 million last season.
