I know its petty, but VAR has really shafted us this season.
Table at moment
Forest 26 pts
Luton 25pts
Clarets 24pts
Table with correct var decisions against these teams 🙄
Clarets 28 pts
Forest 25 pts
Luton 24 pts
Life's a bitch and then you die. 🫣
Just watched Chris Wood missing 2 sitters, perhaps he wants us to stay up.
Apart from our own lack of getting 3 points the footballing gods Nike and Hermes have smiled upon us this weekend with Forest and Luton floundering, though forest did put in a good shift against Man C. but to no avail. We are the form team of the relegation candidates.
Sick of hearing people blame VAR and referees for this season short falls.
Bar this last 8 games we have been crap, with only ourselves to blame down to poor summer recruitment and management.
Never been an easier season for a newly promoted team to stay in the Premier league.
What with all these pts deductions and our financial advantage over the other promoted sides, we should have pissed it
You always poke my interest Ballcock with your negative vibe
I’ve asked on here a lot of times - who should we have signed - you say there all rubbish and not fit for the league and the recruitment is shocking - manger is shocking - but offer no suggestions for a solution.
We can’t go back to maatsen - THB and Tella because those three were near as damn it the whole budget we spent - on top of that City didn’t want to sell THB unless it was big money ( he’s not proven at premier level either ).
The truth is we don’t have the budgets to compete at this level as we are now - the league level - wages - costs are beyond small clubs like ours and Luton and Utd
So I’m intrigued as to who we should have signed that would have made us good enough
Incidentally the Var nonsense has a relevance at Forest I believe we got a written apology for the mistake - those 2 points are pretty important today I’d say but we aren’t getting em back are we.
I am not the man who is paid millions a year to make the recruitment decisions, that is the responsibility of Kompany and Co.
Has far as last summers transfer budget goes. Kompany had sufficient funds to go out and get some expirenced pros who could compete against all the bottom half clubs, instead he blew the budget on the likes of Ramsey and Trafford.
Those fees could have been used to bring a few expirenced heads into the ranks, but no he blew it on untried and tested youth.
To say we can't compete at this level is an insult to BFC, who had no problem competing on a much smaller budget, with Sean Dyche at the helm
Experienced pros demand a lot more money in salaries that young inexperienced lads who are trying to make their way in the game.
We already have quite a number of experienced pros who are on good money, the manager has used them sparingly and that is his choice.
None of us have any idea of how the club is run, the financial situation or whatever plan is in place to progress the club.
If the board are backing the manager to remedy the situation then he should be given the chance just as Sean was.
Relegation to the Championsip is not the end of the world.
But you can't pretend it hasn't made a difference, take just one decision, to allow Luton's late equaliser to stand after a blatant foul on Trafford, it was a ludicrous decision to allow it and if they had come to the correct decision to award us a free kick, we would have been level with Forest on 26 pnts and 2pnts in front of Luton. That is the difference just one wrong decision has made, and there have been several others just as bad.
