We did play well derby but not so sure we would have done so well if they hadn't been on the beach. Also i think they had a few young lads in but you still have to beat whats put in front of you tbf.

We might not have had a January as quiet but the chairman clearly had LR as a holding man and was resigned to going down. He's said as much.
I think SE would have lit the fire under the lads, gone for a basic but effective style of play.
Would we have been safe? Not sure. Would we have been as bad as we have? No.
Birmingham going down on 50 points is an eye opener. I can't remember a team going down with that many points.

yes, it was a good win, and enjoyable, but you can't extrapolate from an end-of-term game of no consequence that the performance shows that we could have stayed up if.... or if .....
One swallow does not make a summer, so to speak.
On paper you could make a good case for some of Taylor's recruitment, and there were a few occasions when the potential showed. But there was a lack of team cohesion and character.
It didn't take long for the deficiencies to show. Would the introduction of Evans at an earlier stage have made a difference? Debatable.
