Thread: Bellingham: prepare to be disappointed

    Bellingham: prepare to be disappointed

    Clearly burnt out.

He may bully some of the weaker nations at the Euro's but a top class international midfield will be able to subdue him.

We have lavished far too much praise, way too early on a player who has yet to prove it against the best on the international stage

Hold me up for ridicule if you want but trust me this kid is going to flop this summer

You give the impression you want him to fail.

    Pretty sad really.

Saw him when he was 14 yo and a few times since,

    Wonderful footballer.

I think IBS suffers from terminal schadenfreude or epicaricacy.

One of those “once in a generation” talents.

This lad is 20 years old. Who knows what else he can achieve in his career.

Not seen enough of him to form an opinion

The hype machine says he’s the best thing since sliced bread, which might be true, but they’ve said that before about many others.

    Could be a winner

Not really. If a player gets to 20 and he looks a good player then they usually are.
Agree though about 16-17 year old players though I can't name any ATM

After 10 minutes of the Serbia game I thought this was going down as just another one of IBS's spectacularly wrong predictions but I think the ensuing 250 minutes have probably proved him right.

Been awful these last 2 games but he’s already had a better career than Gazza did.

    Just saying.

….. and no I’m not saying he’s better than Gazza but give the lad a chance.

    Not your style, I know.
