6.90 I paid at Aldi, got a couple of litres as I go through it like nowt. That saved 6 quid from Sainsbury's.

I do all the shopping and I’ve some items almost double, orange juice being one of them.
Aldi have started selling more branded labels and those aren’t cheap as other retailers carry the same stock but cheaper. It’s just a free for all and they can put any price on they want to.
It’s food and drink and we’ll always need them so it’s a win win for all food retailers.

Tesco made 2.76 billion pounds in the year to Feb. 24, 2024, slightly ahead of guidance of 2.75 billion pounds and up from 2.49 billion pounds in the previous year.
Sales, excluding VAT sales tax and fuel, rose 7.4% to 61.5 billion pounds, with UK like-for-like sales up 7.7%, supported by a rise in volumes, or number of items sold, in the second half.
Tesco's shares were up 3.8%, extending year-on-year gains to 12%.

dont forget shrinkflation as well, this is where you get less in the NEW packaging for the same amount. It is all about the redistribution of wealth, make the people poorer no matter how hard they work or they make their money work and the top 1% richer, there is never enough for the top 1%. If you look at the worlds quoted top 10 billionaires and see how their wealth has increased since 2019 it is terrifying but also enlightening. whether it is the Blue or Red side of the Uniparty in the UK they will just aid the process.

I agree. But there should be some ebb after the flow when good weather/harvests kick in. There rarely is.
But this is fine detail. Fundamentally, it's not a free market, it's a market fixed and controlled by monopolies. Just remember that when the next politician bangs on about how we must protect the free market.
