I always thought when he was here that Scott was a very down to earth and level headed simple guy, and maybe just "maybe" he has made himself a decent amount of cash to set himself up during his time at Forest and for him now it might not all be about the money and he would be happy to come home to the dons.

A quick look at a Forest forum and it appears it had something to do with their FFP situation and getting players out the door. It doesn't look as though he was offered a new contract going by the little I read.

Elsewhere on the forum, he is either not good enough for the EPL or their best defender.

He won't be long without a club.
