There wouldn't be much thrown about anyway.😐
Anyone throwing beer will be asked to leave, so be warned
Anyone heard any news on the likelihood of The Nest being ready for the Euros next week? Seems ambitious at this point.
I saw that the licence application went in but haven't heard any more. Anyone else?
Application was for licensing for the following...
- Provision of Plays, Films, Indoor Sporting Events, Live Music, Recorded Music, Performance of Dance, anything of a similar description to Live Music, Recorded Music or Dance, indoors and outdoors, Monday to Sunday from 07.00 hrs to 00.00 hrs
- Late Night Refreshment indoors, Monday to Sunday from 23.00 hrs to 00.00 hrs
- Sale by Retail of Alcohol Monday to Sunday from 07.00 hrs to 00.00 hrs

We have confirmed plans to open our fanzone, the Nest, for all England matches in this summer’s European Championships – and tickets are now available for a test event on the first night of the tournament.
After being granted planning permission earlier this year, a huge amount of work has gone into transforming the disused factory, situated on the boundary with Meadow Lane Stadium on Iremonger Road, into a state-of-the-art venue for live sport screenings and much more.
And, with finishing touches being applied, we’re now in a position to offer a limited number of people the opportunity to be the very first to experience the exciting new venue when Germany face Scotland in Friday’s curtain-raiser (kick-off 8pm).
The Nest will then officially open for England’s group stage, with tickets available to all.
Fans can expect the biggest screen in the city, premium sound and lighting, access to a huge bar area and a variety of delicious food brought to us by vendors associated with the highly-regarded Nottingham Street Food.
A full group stage schedule, and more details, are below.
Test event: Germany v Scotland (Fri 14 June, open from 6pm)

Gutted not to be there - watching Scotland at Meadow Lane would have been special...

I am obviously very naive. I didn’t realise you had to buy a ticket. I wrongly assumed it was going to operate in a similar fashion to a pub.
What are the plans for Notts’ matches?
I think at the moment, we might have license restrictions? Maybe that's why it needs to be ticketed? Don't know, maybe to restrict numbers also
Boxpark sells tickets to specific events but is otherwise freely open. If they're closely following the Boxpark model (which I'm not sure about - the food seems to rotate rather than stay in situ like a Boxpark), it'd make sense to ticket big events but make it walk-in otherwise.
I wonder which they'd choose for matchdays.
