If so, a back three of Macari-Platt-Bedeau looks good to me.

Still think we need another CB, a GK, and another CM.
Need at least 2 CMs (we need to replace Bostock and JO

So you want to go into the season with 3 midfielders, two of which have both just had a season out... I'm sure that's going to work out just fine. Bajrami didn't cut it in the NL to be fair either, what makes you think he's going to be League 2 material?

Good point. Also, we learned the hard way last season that injuries can happen when you least expect them - a stronger squad is essential, especially as that will let us rotate key players a little more and stop them burning out.

Not sure it's a great idea to assume 2 players who missed an entire season won't get injured again.

I don't particularly like Austin that far back so I'd say Robertson is our only alternative now - a new signing who can challenge for a starting spot and a young loanee would be enough.

Maynard does not select our signings.

Nope. Assuming we’re lining up 352. We have Palmer, Robertson, Austin, Baj, Crowley who can play in there. I’ve said previously I’d like us to bring a proper box to box type to play alongside Crowley with Palmer behind but we only have so many players we can register. If we can find decent u21s like Macari (I think) and Robertson last year who don’t need to be registered then great.

We still need a physical presence for the centre mid position, to win those first and second balls..

Quite right, we suffered a lot from teams running through us and overloading the defence.

This guy looks a decent signing along with Platt we could have a cracking base to build from.

It's unlikely that JJ will play for Malta again under their current manager after he threw Jones under the bus when he refused his call up for a recent friendly
