End to end stuff, Georgia were unlucky but they died with their boots on, our lot are more likely to die in their sleep with southgate leading them.

"Gareth Southgate has challenged his other “matchwinners” to step up and issued a warning that England cannot just rely on Jude Bellingham to win the European Championship."

So give him some help then, he's not going to get much help to win games from Rice and TAA alongside him, and none at all from Trippier on his left. Players like Grealish and Maddison could help him, but best not go there eh.

I think Rice is our best defensive midfielder so who plays alongside Bellingham and Rice in midfield. I would prefer Eze or Palmer. Trippier is simply not a left back no matter how often Gareth sticks him there.TAA like Tripps is a right back but we need Kyle Walker there.

For me outwood is play Bellingham behind Foden along side rice and let snake hips work his magic - or the alternative is Foden has to sub ( playing players out of natural positions doesn’t work ). Especially when you have adequate / better players for that position.

We have bad form of doing this right back to Lampard Gerard and Scholes and we still
Persist doing the same years later.

I have no problem with TAA but not in midfield - he has qualities for sure but internationally he isn’t a midfield player but Southgate would rather play him than a natural midfielder- so play Bellingham there as he has played that position and leave Foden at their back 4 when Kane drops deeper to pick up the ball.

It’s really not difficult imo anyway.

Pick the strongest team to get the job done - managers and friends doesn’t work ( loyalty if you want to call it that ) but I’m guessing Gareth has his absolute favourites and that will be that.

The reason the lad at Arsenal White refused to play is exactly the above - he said it’s seen up before I turn up.

Gareth is keeping the same team tomorrow, he wants another look at TAA in midfield, although I'm not sure what he expects to see.

You know what the definition of madness is, don't you.

Gareth is unimaginative, he has no concept of making the same mistake over and over again, he just thinks it will work next time.

Tell me he isn’t going to play Trippier at left back and TAA in midfield again. How many looks do you need ffs.

I fear England will lose. Ericsson will run the midfield. We may have lots of possession but the end product will be zilch. I hope that I am proved wrong.

Now you are getting the realism Swiss. England fans should stop expecting victories. Gareth says so. Draws and losses are very much on the agenda. We are having to find solutions to some difficult squad situations.
