I'm watching the game and the VAR checks and although this is ''semi off topic'' it is relevant by watching the game in question. It runs along the lines of what someone else made a point about.............VAR only shows it's wonderful ability in relation to the line of offside. In other words.....someone can be offside by the distance of a knee. That is pretty good going considering the speed of the game in the modern age.One problem...........this is only relevant if you have equal technology to show for certain when contact was actually made to the ball by the player providing the pass. This would be akin to judging a push shot at snooker. This equally important side of the equation is never shown or even discussed.
It’s entertaining this game.
Certainly Scotland have played better this game but it wasn’t hard.
A well deserved point. A few chances to add to their score but they didn't go in. At least their dream is still alive.
Obviously not that Hungry and definitely going home.......Germany almost guaranteed to move on to the next round now Switzerland drew with Scotland.
Scotland looked the more likely winners towards end of the game. Pleased for their fans there they deserved something to take from the game.
When Switzerland equalised I feared for the Scots because even allowing for Scotlands early opening goal, the first half hour or so was all Switzerland. However the jocks eventually steadied the ship and were the more likely winners overall I thought. A decent game to watch, and whilst I haven't seen all the games played up to now, the refereeing has, for me anyway, been of a high standard so far. UTM
