The worry for me is how will our stars see this signing, if it’s true, (and I have my doubts about the authenticity of it,) will they be as deflated as some on here, is this a signing that an ambitious club who want to be challenging at the top of the PL, would make, personally I don’t see it. That’s why I don’t believe it, hoping it’s a smoke screen. Surely Eddie would want to see Minteh in training before selling him, I know the arguments about FFP, but there’s others to replace, before Minteh, players who we know the club are trying to move on, we’ll let’s get cracking!

Update folks, we have pulled out of the deal for DCL and Minteh won’t be going to Everton, it’s on the Chronicle page so must be true LOL, seems genuine though, and must say I’m relieved!

It did seem be a case of the club putting out the report to Edwards and other friendly Journos, just to see how bad the reception would be.

The level of blow back was expected from a fan perspective but the club certainly found out.

Common sense prevails. 37 mill for DCL?

    😆😆😆

EH pressing would have had him at a BUPA by Halloween.

lol. Auld Chalk legs wouldn't make it to September.

Really don't see how a player who is know for his injuries played 32 times last season, starting 26 matches and only scored 6 goals is a consideration at all.

There is no metric, no statistical analysis in the game that would merit the club spending £25mil & bettering his £120,000 a week wage packet to play 2nd fiddle.

Anthony Gordon 'The best ability is AvailAbility'.

When we will need our 2nd striker to change a game or take the load off Isak through the course of the season Lewis is 100% not make an impact. He'll likely be injured or if fit won't score the important goals needed to win matches, turning loses into 1 point draws and draws into 3 point wins.
