I can only respectfully suggest that next time he wants to sign a big name manager/coach, he gets out of bed a bit earlier and moves at a faster pace than the proverbial striking slug.
I don't think it works like that mon ami. Der Kaiser dropped our Alan a bombshell and in fairness to the bloke he will be trying to work out how not to get hit again. Quite obviously the fickle RVN was not meant to run the show at Turf Moor.

I find Alan Pace rather agreeable, he mingles with the fans and does not shirk when it's time to open the cheque book. He beats this dude hands down in my opinion...

I can't speak for other people, they can make their own minds up, but it seems obvious to me that the fact that we haven't replaced VK after five weeks is down to Mr Pace. If not him, then who ?

Then how does it work mon ami ? There's nothing particularly unusual about a club appointing a new manager, some do it several times a year. Trying to work out how not to get hit again is a futile exercise, if Mr Pace wasn't aware before he certainly is now, bigger clubs will take your manager and players more or less as and when they want, and there's nothing you can do about it, except tie them into long term contracts in order to extract some compo or fee from the bigger club. If it really did come as a bombshell to Mr Pace when VK departed, then he still has an awful lot to learn about how football actually does work.

There are three amigos running the ALK show plus the Yankee NFL giant. Leave them to it, Bellamy & Jackson are perfectly competent to hold the fort.

I have no worries about Bellamy or Jackson holding the fort, but just who or what are they holding the fort for ?

I've no problem taking time, if you wanted quick we could have had Robins or any other poor manager in the first week. I'd rather he took time and hopefully get the right person

If taking your time would guarantee us the right person I would be all for it, but it doesn't, it can even lead to a bigger club stepping in and taking your 'right man' away from you while you prevaricate. I'm not saying this has happened, I don't know, but it appears to have in the case of RVN. We signed Coyle, Dyche, Howe and Ternent within two to three weeks of the previous manager leaving, three of them won us promotions, the other, Eddie, did us no harm. I really do not know what they can find out about a prospective manager in 5/6 weeks, that they cannot find out in 2/3 weeks.
