Business nous Mick? I'm sure that many have business nous where it counts -for them personally. Its just that these particular individuals put giving contracts to mates (with possible kick backs in return)sadly above their responsibility to spend tax payers money wisely and appropriately.

That’s peanuts Mick to the annual 4.3 billion cost of asylum seekers which will only go up! Why are all these people not immediately set to task to pick fruit - clean the roads - clean the public toilets - clean hospitals? Surely to God - it should be no barge, food or cleaning after 1 month when working salaries deducted these costs.

My father always said there was no such thing as a free lunch! They should immediately pay back the Royal Navy rescue costs - barge costs - food and be deducted national
Insurance so NHS costs are covered!

    Laughable and soft this country!

Its everywhere. Farage is spot on. If you contact any business across the country there will be examples of waste. Even football clubs, new kit per game, how much does that cost? Whatever happened to washing kits? I heard of a police station changing the huge carpet (very expensive) in the foyer for a new one when the old one looked imacculate (top quality, isnt this why you buy the best? To last?). Its a mindset and its with big money and small money. My postman said he goes through thousands of elastic bands. Why dont they use them more than once? They end up on the floor, you can see them everywhere. I saw an accident outside my window and the first thing the van driver said was “Its alright theyll pay for it” (The company) People just dont take any care these days. Billions of pounds are chucked down the drain because of poor management and governments are no different.

So much good stuff in there mate.

Take my own business, when a customer returns a product my lot just bin the return box and use a new one to send out again and throw the used one away.

I’ve always kept returns boxes and cut them down to re use for smaller products.

It’s 65p per box to buy in, we use tens of thousands per year.

I also used to get them to bundle the good used ones into tens and to sell as “used boxes” on eBay and to get our money back.

There was very little thrown away when I was in the warehouse, now it’s an epidemic due to laziness and lack of it being their money.

Good on yer Mick. No need for it is there? (I still fix stuff rather than replace)
