That went well Chop , straight under the camera"s , minds you the alternative is a saturday tea time , it is going to be a long old season , I hope the twenty pieces of silver the clubs receive is all worth it because I can see for clubs who are not involved in the promotion race that crowds will drop big time, I long for the good old days of the sixties with our 3.15 kick offs, happy days

    Well well well Shads!

Barnsley v Mansfield selected for the 1st League 1 game of the season on Sky and a Friday evening, what would have been the odds for that one....only SB would know

I remember well the 3-15 kick offs, a bus ride from Wakefield to Barnsley and after the game walk up to my Auntie Ethel's on Gawber Road for me tea, happy days it was!!

Haha Pass, I cannot remember what I had for my main nose bag but I know I had to go darn the cellar steps and select mi tin of fruit!!!

Also to talk to her budgie called Tiny

Then eventually walk back to the bus station mid evening on my own for the bus home to Wakey. First time was 1965/66 season, was 10 years old, can still name a lot of players wearing the shirt at that time.

I had no fear just left home and said will see you later Mum!

    Happy Days!

I'd have preferred Port Vale at home, ohh hang on though, that was last year wasn't it. 😁
So a Friday night first game of the season, have we ever done that before ?.

Another football tradition--the new season kicking off Saturday at 3-00pm--buggered up by Sky.

All other Third Division games kick off at 5-30 pm on the Saturday !

Every Third and Fourth Division club to have a minimum of 20 games televised this season in new TV contract.
    Apologies.

I misheard the Sky presenter. On the repeat he said "All League One games will have a Saturday 5-30pm kick off as part of the schedule" meaning at least one. Others will kick off at 3pm as "normal"..

The rest of the post is correct.
