Agreed, I think the club have worked hard to add solid reliable players, all rated highly by their previous teams and with good track records. All in before pre season starts so enough time to bond and gel as a team. I'm really pleased with business so far.

Me too. Happy with how things are coming together so far. Defence looks way more solid, and the squad looks decent.

I think we are still short in wide areas too. Would like to see a pacey right wing back to keep Nemane on his toes. Another CB if Rawlo leaves and probably another (taller) midfielder.

I'm not saying the recruitment team bringing in players the manager hasn't asked for is necessarily always a terrible thing btw
If the players work out then great
Luke had to work under the same system. He wasn't always happy about it but he was a pro and got on with it
I'd have thought Luke had earned to right to have the final say but what do I know?
It seems to be the way a lot of teams are going these days
