And I am very much hoping that's the case but have had a feeling it's their year after the way Slovakia game ended

Originally thought they'd win it, then they stunk out the joint in their group games and definitely couldn't see it, despite easy side of draw but back to thinking it's gonna be them beating the French in the final

A France v England final would be as watchable as Greece v Greece in 2004,i stand to win £50 more if France win it rather than Spain but i would happily give that money up to see justice done. The Spanish press today have said that prisoners in solitary confinement should be forced to watch England's games as a deterrent.

I disagree with them because the suicide rates would go through the roof.

Against Switzerland (who couldn't even beat us FFS) the English pundits were going on about how good they'd been at half time. Zero shots on target? Yeah, a great watch. 🤔

Some of the lesser fancied teams have played out some of the best games in my opinion. Turkey,Austria,Slovakia have all been very entertaining. Spain are a terrific team too. Scotland were easily the technically worst team in the competition and were more boring to watch than anyone unfortunately.

Agreed on both counts Ads and regards your last sentence 100%, there should be nowhere back for Clarke.
The dust has now settled and I'd be totally hacked off if they don't get rid of him.
He has not a leg to stand on, pathetic attempt, GTF.

I think a good tournament ultimately stands and falls by the quality of your top teams as they endure throughout the tournament. Unfortunately this edition has a lot of negative managers - England & France, clueless - Martinez pandering to Ronaldo at expense of team, Italy are currently rank, and Belgium fading. Was unfortunate Germany and Spain were drawn together at quarter finals as they are only of traditional big nations playing football.

Guess managers have less time to work with teams, but also top managers rarely work in national football. Deschamps is the biggest anti football manager going, don't forget how lucky/poor France were in world cup QF,SF and 70 mins of final. Southgate is negative too, but prob just more inept.

Can't argue with about the lesser teams mate as I just haven't watched them or tried about 15 mins of a game and switched it off as it just bored the tits aff me with the constant passing around the back 4/5 or teams just sitting 10 players on their 18 yard box defending and sometimes not even bothering counter attacking when eventually getting possession because they are so comfortable just defending all the time.....absolute yawnfest and I'm glad Utd play in a technically inferior league as these tactics would that technically superior teams apply would just turn me away from football altogether.......role on the derby for 98 minutes of absolute ****e futba but total blood and thunder😂💕

This tournament has been really poor, one of worst in recent times, 2010 WC was bad, but Spain have played attacking wingers, Germany played with a target man, put loads of crosses in the box. Austria and turkey decent stuff, Georgia great counter attacking stuff, lots of the lesser teams gave it a go, exception being Scotland horrendous negative tactics and unable to pass the ball.

Scottish football be exciting, but let's be honest, most weeks we are bemoaning the quality.
