He's going into Norwich development and academy set up so he's not seen as ready for first team football by them either.

Great move for him and I wish him all the best, maybe a loan move back to us??

We now need a couple more defenders, couple more midfielders and potentially a new striker before season starts.

That’s a surprise. I have to say he’s not someone who’s particularly impressed me in his limited number of first team games.

Was about to put something similar. We need to remember that we don’t have the infrastructure to keep lads on until they are 22/23 unless they are first team material. Financially it wouldn’t work in L2.

People always lament the moving on of youth team graduates but how many of them actually make it? When they do, they force their way into the first team very early, like Draper and Johnson. If the club is very happy with the structure of the deal, there must be clauses and sell-on fees to earn us cash later, money we most likely would never see otherwise.

LM always had potential having been at Man Utd & Sheffield United so best wishes for the future.
I posted the other week that a respected manager and League 1 Academy Director mentioned in conversation that he was expecting Mahovo to be a first team regular this season.

Yeah the way they talk about the deal's structure makes me think there's sell-on fees etc.

I am not disappointed at all. If the club believes we can put the money to better use than the player, it's a no-brainer; take the deal.
