I get that the use on this board has no intention to be offensive, but you have to be aware that there are other meanings used to be very cruel and beyond an off the cuff "banter" comment.

just because it's always been said doesn't mean its ok.

If every person chooses to put their own interpretation on any established phrase then all hope of common communication will be lost and anything or everything can be deemed to be offensive in some way or other.
