I thought Thorpe was the best player out there tonight. Links play like Palmer does, good vision and range of passes.

Agree with that about Thorpe, impressed by him with his effort along with Curtis Edwards.

Why would they quit a job before finding a new one?

Yep pay them off. Going to cost either way plus, taking up squad places that takes us to the limit knowing full well they aren't part of the plans

Alex Kirk (No 3 ) scored the first Notts goal with a composed finish into the Gk's bottom right hand corner of the net.
Tall and athletic lad , good in the air , good control and competitive. Much the same as Matty Platt. Bedeau showed composure , with a useful left foot.
Elliott Thorpe looked useful. The pedigree of AC and ET ex Arsenal and Luton respectively was reflected in their performances.
Notts second goal resulted from Nemane's magic and deadly cross which a defender could only divert into his own net.
What has happened to Sanderson ? There last night but an unused sub.
No sign of Jatta or Randall.
A good first friendly workout against a direct physical team with all the Notts players performing well.
