I’ll repost a comment I just made on another thread.

It’s a good thing Red Bull bought into us. Think of how bad if shape we’d be if they hadn’t

    Ongoing apparently.

Well you'll be able to see Leeds United’s opening game of the season against Portsmouth which will be shown on both Paramount+ & CBS Sports Golazo Network in the USA as part of the "EFL’s new deal" with CBS Sports, Spaldy.

The American network has struck an exclusive, multi-deal, multi-platform rights agreement to air at least 250 EFL matches each season across the EFL’s divisions, the Carabao Cup & the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Coverage begins this August & will run to the end of the 2027/28 season with games shown live on Paramount+ & selected fixtures also featuring on CBS Sports Network & CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Which is good as its aired in France too.

    An EFL statement said:
“With 1,891 fixtures each season, the EFL is home to some of the most respected, popular & successful football competitions in the world, captivating supporters across the globe.
At the end of the 2023/24 season the EFL ranked as the highest-attended League body in Europe with 21.5 million fans welcomed through the turnstiles for a Championship, League One or League Two fixture.”

"Well you'll be able to see Leeds United’s opening game of the season against Portsmouth.....", provided you have a subscription to one or other of those services (Or Sky here in the UK). Great to see fans from anywhere BUT the UK being helped to watch Leeds, especially when the only free-to-air coverage those in the UK re likely to see is the nano-second or two we get on the EFL highlights show each week.

Wasting your breath Spaldy - the phrase none so blind as those who refuse to see comes to mind.

They have made some sensible managerial and admin appointments, got a good manager, signed a good first player and already seem to be measured on their comms.

Welcome to the world of those with experience of properly organised sports set ups and how the commercial world really works. I suspect they bring a lot more gravitas that the previous owner did too which makes it easier to deal with bigger organisations and sponsors.

I am sure the 49ers bought the club as they have no big plans for it - not. Speith and Thomas and like losing too - not.

Little Englander and arch Brexiteer spouts nonsense again. The 70s/80s/90s are gone and not coming back ever - time to accept the world is different - other wise go join Farage, Rees Mogg et al and try to recreate a Jerusalem that only exists in a hymn.
    Pffft

Feel sorry for those whose glass always seems empty."

How times change (or not) hmmm?

My point is that despite everything, we failed to get promotion and the results of that failure are only just starting to be felt, or do you think we're suitably prepared for a season where should we fail again, League 1 beckons?
