I just know Ugarte. Bit of a midfield general - good player.

They’re up to their usual tricks, overpaying for potential which might never ben reached in the case of Zirkzee and Yoro. Ugarte would improve then but not enough to consider them any better than despite us signing nobody of note yet.

    Not impressed to be honest…

A forward who can’t even get off the bench before Weghorst

An 18 year old with hardly any experience, a bizarre giraffe neck looking mofo, for 52m. 52m!?!

I'm not so in awe of this Yoro kid.

1 year left on his contract. Only wanted to go to Real, will have the weather, food and 'culture' in Manchester and at the club.

Also this video shows some real moments from last season. https://x.com/francischipp/status/18...Sm-HvmRv_XvfHg

18 yrs old in the Prem, takes a very special mentality to handle that.

I would have absolutely loved Yoro here..

Zirkzee I see most of your points but he has potential and that's what you're buying these days.. we just sold Anderson for 35m and he's worth nowhere near that..

Ugarte.. I'm sorry but he gets into most midfield in the PL.. he's not a PSG type player but his qualities are ideal for the Premier league..

    ...............

All of this is happening yet we haven't signed anyone of note.. makes you wonder what is going on backstage at the club..

Although without Europe and the fact that Man U have better pull than us I'm not holding out for signings like thes ones..

I'm still waiting for another bid for Calvert Lewin

If it was the old ownership I'd be quietly furious and ultimately pessimistic that we're getting no one in of any quality.

What is going on behind the scenes has all been explained in the NUFC TV interviews with Mitchell, Eales & Howe. They aren't gonna be out on the lash and stagging home with a kebab special and a can of Dr Pepper whilst over in Germany.

Like with Isak, Botman etc. The right deals will be done at the right time.

Judging us against other clubs is never a good idea.

Whatever the press say & you have to bare in mind that all the clubs pay 'Sky Sports News' to spin the narrative they want. If sky find out about a deal they call the club and say " we know X,Y,Z. How do you want us to report it? " Especially the fraudies.

The 'exclusives' that Journos get are their little rewards for towing the party line and being good little puppets.

Believe nothing you read or hear in the media. It's all lies.

That's why they are called 'NEWS STORIES'.

Because they contain less than 5% fact.

I'm under no illusion with the media raga..

I also know we are in safe hands with who we have at the club..

My gripe is (which you hit on the head in a way) is that under Mike Ashley we would have been going mental for signings at this stage.. there's a month left until the season starts and I'd like most players signed to have had some sort of pre season with us and not signing them all after it's began.. I don't mind one or 2 and I love a deadline day signing..

But want to see someone in early doors that's not a GK

Yeah man, I totally get it!

It's always best practice to get players in as early as possible in the summer. Just a case that with the Euros/Copa and the players we're looking to sign, no doubt at top tier players who have more than one option.

Throw that in the mix with Mitchell joining and the departures of Staveley and Mehrdad, it explains our situation but as fans doesn't satisfy the desire we crave for new players coming in.

We all love the transfer window, when we get in WOW signings. The memories of Fox, Cole, Ginola, Shearer, Robert, Sir Les etc etc live long in the memory. Isak and Bruno, Botman and Tonali some exciting additions.

They kind of came out of no where. No doubt we'll see some exciting additions in the near future. Next week would be great.

Eddie has sorted of mooted that he want's a RWF & RCB before they fly out to Japan.

Selfishly, I want to go buy some shirts. I'm waiting to see who we're signing before I get Isak or Bruno on the back.

Ugarte - Get your point, I think he’ll be decent but time will tell.

We had the pull to get Bruno and Isak and Botman without having Europe, so I’m not too worried about that.

I think the club (rightly) focussed on FFP/PSr, then getting the structure sorted with Mitchell and Bunce - they might not be players but they are quality additions to the club, and now am sure we’ll be working on deals in the background without it playing out in the press… just like the negotiations with Mitchell and Bunce.
