We're back, well three weeks today it all starts again!

Reflecting on last season's Prediction League, all seemed to run smoothly. We had a new Champion with CT Milller making a great late run and leaving us all in his wake. Who's going to topple him this coming season or, does he get to retain his crown?

I've been browsing through last pre season's suggestions we didn't use. Does anyone think these would work this season? Tell me what you think.

1. No Millers games to be included. Now is this a bad omen or, do you fancy winning a few points from the Millers if they go on a winning streak? Shall we include them this coming season?

2. All fixtures to be awarded two points only, if they are correctly predicted. The concept last season of,
x 1 point for a home win, x 2 points for an away win and x 3 points for a draw seem to split the table fairly quickly.
IF, we do run with just x 2 points per correct fixture, then I feel the table may well be pretty congested with a bunch of us on the same running total, thoughts on this one please.

3. Increasing the score draws by giving entrants the opportunity to choose 10 draws if they wish to do so. Personally I think this would just ruin the format as many would just opt for 10/10 draws hoping at least 2 or 3 would come in and probably would. By only having the opportunity to choose 5 draws makes you have to choose more wisely therefore making it harder to score. What if we raise this to 6 out of 10 that can be score draws?

These are just a few examples/suggestions. What do think of them and do you have any other suggestions/ideas?

Last season's format was easier to mark and with all games being played on a Saturday saved a lot of time and effort not only for me to mark but more importantly, those taking part didn't miss out if they missed say a Friday/Sunday fixture.

The suggestion to lower the 'Predict A Score' to 2 points also worked well as opposed to the old 5 points for a 'Guess The Correct Score'.
