He’s persisting with the Jones on the right thing despite it looking no more like to work than it did when he first tried it (Newport apart) only now he’s got an extra right sided player in Gordon who looked decent enough and Cedwyn playing on the left who looked completely unsuited for it.. Just weird.

Oh and a decent scrap at FT which Maynard also seemed to start! What a night for the boy.
Scott had the same issue with LW when he played as he was the left number 10 which Didzy did too but he’s ok there because he can create. I feel it’s the same set up as LW but just less gung-ho and it didn’t work towards the end of last season because we can still get targeted at wingback defensively. It’s starting to feel like we need a miracle to get a good start and I’m usually optimistic. I’ll keep the rose tinted on and say it’s down to mixing the teams up and it’s all going to be fine 😂

Still can’t fathom why some seem so obsessed with how PSF are going. We haven’t once played the same starting line up. I think it’s obvious who the better players are in our squad and they rarely play with each other in these games.
If Boston want to play at full tilt, that’s them. Folk would soon be moaning if we were playing our strongest side and turning teams over 3/4 nil but picking up injuries along the way. SM can’t win, though I hope that trend changes a week on Saturday.

Personally I'd love to see our best players turn other teams over 3 or 4 nil! Sadly, I'm not sure it's in our locker.

Who's to say Boston were playing at full tilt either?! Their season is also about to begin. For cohesion purposes it seems like madness not using these games to play your starting 11 together - at least for some of the match.

Obviously psf don’t matter, but currently they’re the only guide we have as to how the season will go. Tonight was the first and only one I’ll go to and I could see that many of the problems we had in the second half of last season on tonight’s evidence still exist. Including obviously self inflicted ones like playing key players out of position. Or not playing some players at all where was Bass tonight?

I hope we turn up at Tranmere and everything will ne great and we’ve got nothing to worry about . Do I think that will happen? No.
