    It’s the advent of the fat b a s tard over the past 30 odd years that has required changes to be made to make everyone feel better about themselves.
    That's weird. I remember buying a multi pack of t-shirts circa 93/94 when I was in the army and the XL was 46 inches. It was the first time I'd ever bought XL which is why it sticks in the memory.

    For the avoidance of doubt I was built like a brick s hit house and wore 34 inch jeans with a belt. So definitely not a fat b@st@rd. Oh the memories 😊.

    The above was for chest sizes Leics.

    40 odd years ago anything over a 32 waist was a sign things were starting to slip.

    I was a 28 waist at one point and barely a 36 chest.

    I was wearing a New Romantic style string vest one day and my old man told me I needed to be careful as I was in danger of slipping out through one of the armholes! 😩
