McCabe still is boring for me. As bannon says passing, possession at all costs. He actually has said they prioritise passing style over winning.

Biggest point is that Goodwin has had great summer with recruitment and just got us promoted in some style

Totally backing Goodwin and he needs time

he did the exact same thing at Aberdeen brought in a load of players - couldn't get them to play

    - I was at the Falkirk game and we got totally outplayed and out thought that day. If it wasnt for a wonder strike of a FK and Ayr unbelievably not scoring goals against Buckie we would have been out of the League Cup (we got lucky)

    - Last season he got schooled tactically by a number of managers with squads that cost a fractions of ours.

    - Last season despite having the most expensive squad in the championship we were really struggling. He was getting pelters and boo'd off the park. So much so he had to abandon the way he was setting them up to just play a 4-4-2 and hoof it up to the 2 big men.

    - The number of times last season he started of playing a system and had to change it 15 mins into the game because it wasnt working.

    - I've seen enough of Goodwin to know he is a very poor tactical manager and will get found out and soon. its just a matter of time, mark my words

I think Goodwin will be the first to go so can see McCabe as our new manager. Can wait to see us have a plan and play good football between the thirds.
I think you just gave McCabe the commentators curse

What a ridiculous post on the eve of a massive Derby.

    'He got schooled tactically'!!
    Who are you?
    Some sort of tactical genius?
You must be wasted in your current job.
Maybe you could do with some schooling yourself.

You might well be right though, circumstance decrees he's favourite for the Prem sack race.
But if it does happen get away to ****.
    Mark your words my ar$e.

JG has not exactly been a raging success at United, but he has inherited a hell of a lot of problems, had to learn to manage in the Championship when we were the "big team" meaning opposition teams set up differently to try and steal a point or three.
This is now his own team and he has hopefully learned a lot from last season. I am stillnot convinced but I genuinely think that he has earned the chance to have a crack at it. He needs to be backed to the hilt by the fans this season, and we need to consolidate our place in the top league. Maybe a review at the end of Dec would be sensible...but until then, we have to get right behind him!

Think it's fine to have reservations but also a lot of us like Goodwin and want him to succeed here, for the sake of the club too, much needed stability, he deserves some time this season with his own team to see how he does

Just don't see the point in this thread though on the eve on the premiership season starting, just an odd thing for an Arab to go on about just now

United doing well under Goodwin will annoy all the right people too and be a nice redemption story

I agree with your sentiment, but are there really that many that do actually like him?

Im maybe tarred with the skit show that has been going on for the last god knows how many years, but JG still has so far to go to prove himself to me, and while he can be questioned tactically at times, im sure Aberdeen fans are about to thank him for his ability to find a player!

Dont really have an expectation for this season, but if he has a disaster in the first quarter, i will err more on the side of mr1970s, but not necessarily want him gone.

All this is possible but until results are untenable I'm staying behind the manager.
