All is normal in the world of the organisers.

The neighbours I spoke to this morning said these things.
I thought I was watching eurotrash last night.

It was a boring opening ceremony. Maybe the weather didn’t help but I’m not sure the sun could have livened that up. Not sure why the media are saying how great it was.

I’d rather watch the World Cup by the way.

But maybe that's just them trying to justify their blanket coverage
I don’t know if the guy doing the voice over could truly speak French fluently but by heck he was goo!

The program was ambitious but not brilliant. I liked the hot air balloon as the touch. Excellent and apt

Although my wife thought it was phil fogg that invented it 😂

Are you saying that he was reading a well presented monologue with the Scottish woman talking over him.

Don’t believe it for one minute! The bbc aren’t like that surely 😂

That’s like saying the bbc predicted that building seven had collapsed half an hour before it did 😂

The opening ceremony might have been a damp squib, but the action in the swimming pool and the gymnastic hall has been absolutely brilliant.

Never thought I would be cheering for a French swimmer. Great gold medal butterfly swim by Marchand.

Disgusting how this is allowed. It's gone too far and time for the athletes to take a stand
