As for Crowley, he's often been playing in and around our own box in PS. He goes down in a heap at York and we nearly concede. What's the thinking there?
He's trying to look for a Palmer type player in the middle. Whilst Crowley was the most likely of last year's squad to do that role and it took an age for either management team to realise it, this year he should be nowhere near that role as recruitment should have fixed that issue

Yes I noticed on Tuesday that he was playing further back. A criminal waste of his talents if that continues.

You seldom heard excuses from Williams because he rarely lost games. Excuses come out when lose and continue to use. That has always been the case a telltale sign of desperation and seen many times before.

Maynard may not be up to to the job but very few NCFC managers are.

THE BIG MAGPIE CIRCLE INTERVIEW: 60 minutes with Head Coach Stuart Maynard. Just completed a highly insightful, in-depth interview with Stuart. No subject off limits - thought-provoking, revealing, a glimpse into the man behind the head coach.
Full debate on all the new signings and recruitment metrics, improving defence, Macca's departure, Jatta impact, the influence of Graham Taylor on Stuart as a ****ager at Watford, setting a points target for the season, flat back 4 v Newport (!!!) ... and so, so much more.
I'd say it's by far the most in-depth, far-reaching external interview undertaken by Stuart since his arrival at Meadow Lane.
AVAILABLE from 10am FRIDAY across all our social channels. DO NOT MISS.

Williams is a good manager/coach that is why he hardly lost any games and you always felt he spoke with belief.

I think one of Ardley first games was Tranmere away as manager and I instantly didn’t really like the cut if his jib he was making all kinds of excuses to cover his own back and Maynard seems to be the same.

I really fear for us this season looking at the squad and how we fell off a cliff with him as coach.

I’ll definitely watch this, believe in him or not should be a good watch if the questions are challenging.

Just seen a clip of Boston. In all the tale of tragedy, has anybody mentioned that their first goal came from a Slocombe blunder and that it was offside?
