One because SM said as much and two we are clearly short. Do you think the owners are stupid? They’ve chucked in 20m and then think well at least we’ve got the Nest and Padel courts, doesn’t really matter if we’re 2 or 3 short with the squad? I imagine we’ve lost out on a couple recently and we’re waiting for other clubs to buy to let go.

The second game is just a chance to give fringe players minutes and look at the trialists

Fair assessment from Maynard. Thought we matched them all the way, but for one double mistake.
Lads will have trained hard yesterday and will have heavy legs and a few niggles going into today.
Like Maynard says, they need a few competitive 90 minutes in them to get fully up to speed.
I'm optimistic for next weekend. So many doom mongers on here.

We’ve got to cut out the silly mistakes and penalties this season, because I think we’re going to have plenty of tight games where there’s only one goal in it. That may well determine whether we finish 3rd, 13th or 23rd.
