Really not looking forward to this season.

Can I revise my prediction of 20th downwards please?

But looking on the bright side for once, we have got the best pitch in the league (probably). YIPPEEE!!!!!

It's got to be a good thing if opposing coaches have multiple scenarios to plan for.

LW stuck to his winning formula and let the opposition worry about us - great for promotion out of the NL. As a positional coach with set patterns of play the downside was that we could become samey and predictable if not on our game.
SM has to introduce more flexibility and variations without becoming a tinkerman who confuses the squad and breaks the cohesion. It'll need prep, sound judgment and clear communication. And the players have to buy in. We'll see if he can pull it off.
100%, fine margins, last season I think he tinkered too early with players that wasn’t ready. If I had choice I’d play JJ at right a 10 and I honestly think that’s we’re he wants to play to get goals and I’m pretty sure he’s said that before. Whatever SM decides it will make or break him but I hope he’s brave and does what he thinks is right.

The criticism last season was we have no plan B.
Now it’s we’ve got a manager that wants to change too much.
And I’m guessing it’s the same people doing the moaning.
JJ isn’t out of position as a right sided No.10. He’s played much of his career there. The question is can he be as effective in an attacking sense as when he plays as a left wing back. If he can it would be a huge gain because defensively he’s terrible and that’s the downside to his position last season.
The truth is I’m not as optimistic as this time last year but the knives are already out before a point is lost and it’s pathetic.

Millwall beaten 0-1 at home by Southampton. Millwall twitter response to full time tweet could be Notts.

It doesn’t matter where Jones WANTS to play you play him in what is best for the TEAM that is all that matters.

The problem of changing players game to game it messes up your rhythm and I listen to the likes of Klopp/Pep BOTH talk a lot about this I am well aware they have elite players we don’t but if they say it then I listen.

I really hope for our sake Maynard gets it right but people have concerns after seeing him for half a season and most points I see are totally valid it’s no good being a nut hugger of his as he hasn’t proved anything to have that belief in him.

I hope he proves me wrong but he is a dud imo just like that smug laptop boy giving large at fans forums but nowhere to be seen or heard now wonder why.

I genuinely don’t remember complaints about a lack of plan b last season. Under Maynard there didn’t seem to be a plan a.

Got to say I don’t really care where Jones has played previously. He was fantastic on the left for us and he provided 4 assists in the last game before Maynard took over. Playing elsewhere never worked last season.

I saw JJ play on the right and he was rather good you know.Maybe we will use his Abilities in a more advanced role this season with the freedom to roam. He seems to have the ability and intelligence to play this role.

Jones had a good game yesterday and was one of the stand out players on the pitch IMO. Nemane was also okay on the left. It's not really a big problem is it? They can easily be switched during the game.

I'm more concerned about Crowley playing deep. He's one of our best players and i feel his attacking talent is wasted a little back there. Austin played further forward but I'm not sure he's good enough be more than a squad player. I'd hope this is a short term fix until Robertson and Palmer are back.
