On the topic of the 2 Olympians. If you are born female what's the issue? It's not like they have done anything to gain an advantage.

If they have then it would be fair enough to ban them but I've not seen anything to suggest they have, sometimes people are born into a body that gives them an advantage through genetics.

If we ban them then what happens then? I've no doubt they wouldn't compete against men, so who do they compete against? Surely to not allow them to do so is discrimination.

Or maybe we ban everyone from sport who gains an advantage from natural genetics, all those 7 foot basketball players , let's ban them as it's not fair on all the Warwick Davies of the world who dreamt of being professional basketball players when they grew up.

Agreed, if she/they were born female and have a NATURAL advantage, lucky them and crack on. Anyone with ANY artificial advantage, be it gender related or otherwise are IMO cheats. I personally include those male-born competiting as females whatever their following life, the examples in the boxing appear not to be this so what’s the issue.

I note you’ve skilfully, for you, avoided my question about your claim regarding being called into action to support prison officers against violent inmates and I continue to doubt it ever happened.

Really don’t know what to make of you, you come across as a bit of a cu…sorry…conundrum. Part of you is clearly over aroused and excited by the violent scenes that currently plague some of our streets while another part advocates the serenity and tranquility to be found in Thailand. Part of you wants to belittle women while another seeks to at least go through the motions of protecting them, while finally half of you condemns migrants, particularly Muslims and those desperate enough to cross the channel on small boats, while another part is about to either become a migrant in Thailand, or ‘take’ a Thai migrant wife. Make your mind up…it’s all becoming a little ‘split personality’…and I’d be very careful when introducing your new bride to be to any of those EDL sympathising ‘mates’ of yours.

I think I know what you mean although that first sentence isn’t one of your clearest.
I don’t think anyone would, during the course of debate, ‘champion’ the views they were opposing, would they?

As far as recent events are concerned…I do have ‘entrenched views’ on the subject of racism, bullying and mob rule. Probably the result of upbringing and experience.

That is exactly what we’ve seen in recent days with far right mobs attempting to burn down hotels they believe to be housing asylum seekers and the forces of law and order being attacked by people who are nothing more than bored racist thugs who will turn their attentions elsewhere once it rains and the football season starts.

I don’t deny that there is a serious debate to be had regarding aspects of multiculturalism and the whole issue of migration, it is though, imo, one that requires joined up adult thought from the whole of the world particularly the wealthier ‘west’, while what we have seen of late is little short of anarchy.

Beyond that I do take the greatest exception to the likes of Farage, Robinson and all the little TTR equivalents across the land using the internet to stir up hatred and division. We may all disagree about everything from politics to team selection which is, after all, the point of a forum…but some opinions are so pernicious and poisonous that they cannot, imo, be allowed to go unchecked and unchallenged.
