I read this exert from a piece written by an Asian lass in one of our national newspapers:

"Call out racism and Islamophobia when you see it and have those difficult conversations with friends or family if needed.

Use your privilege to stand in places we cannot and, if it's safe for you, consider going to the anti-fascism protests. If you see a face you recognise taking part in terror on the streets – tell the police.

Finally, offer a smile to people of colour if they are on the bus with you or walking past. It sounds small and insignificant but it’s not. It lets us know that we're safe around you."

Just to remind myself (and you lot too) these are people who are frightened to go on the streets of Britain purely because of their skin pigmentation.

What a pfhucking mess.

We have loads of land, it's the urbanisation and gentrification that's the big problem not a few hundred thousand documented migrants.

And CiB, I personally know a lot more Asian folk than you do and you might be surprised at how many of the younger British born Asian origin youngsters are turning their backs on Islam.

And please no-one on here post, "We are a Christian country". We are not.

I am not sure where CiB comes in. I will leave him to comment on how many Asians he knows. Suffice to say that in matters political I believe you live in la la land, which you are entitled to do - I doubt that many people on here share your views, it can be added that you are arrogant, claiming to know more Asian folk than someone else.

Please expand on urbanisation and gentrification. What on earth is that supposed to mean? Sounds like labels favoured by journos in The Grauniad. Sound good but mean absolutely nothing.

Like telling someone to go back to their lattes and chocolate. If you think my comment is rude, so be it. You have told me I am a racist, which is the last thing I am. I think your political views are divorced from reality. It is not tit for tat. You rightly think that you can say what you like. Well so can everyone else. Respect is mutual, not a one way street.

You are correct ILLEGAL immigrants are about as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit.However legal immigrants are very welcome BT.One of my neighbours is a lovely Syrian man and another is Chinese.When i was in business here I regularly dealt with middle eastern people who live here and they were very nice people.They have all come here to work and have assimilated.There is a massive difference between the two.
They are also treated equally here and nobody takes very much notice.Also crucially the social benefits here are buttons.
I was at polytechnic in Preston and shared a house with a Pakistani lad back in the day and we got on great.
However, I spent 18 months in the UK from 2019-2020 and the demographics of the country have changed beyond recognition from when I left the UK three decades earlier in 1991 and the end result is not a pretty sight.

With this post and post 150 it's all a bit too near the rhetoric Hitler used to demonise the Jews in 1930's Germany for me.

I'll just remind our two resident expats that three girls were murdered in Southport last week and the UK's loony right have took it upon themselves to smash up Great Britain and attack mosques and innocent people of colour who are going about their daily lives.

That's me done on this thread the stench of racism on here is making me feel physically ill.

The physical illness is just a byproduct of mental and cultural deterioration. According to a report by Sajed Javid a few years back, 17,000 English girls are raped annually by Muslim grooming gangs. A hundred years ago the good people of Rotherham would have sorted this out on a Saturday afternoon, but you own police protected the rapists and went after the victims and those who spoke up for them.
