Yes the full backs are an issue. We haven't got any worth the name. Not as bad as the planks we had at the start of last season, but you get my drift. Come back Gerry Forrest. Now that's what I call a full back and we got him for nowt. I like Powell. Good pace and can slot a good pass. I hope we keep Odoffin. The rest seem average to be honest. Does Evans know his best 11 yet?

I went to the game as part of my summer tour of the UK and the world's longest roadworks on the M1 !!! We won and showed character in coming back from 1 down. Issues, the defence will not keep many clean sheets, raggart will be banned by end of September and we don't have a right back. We lose the ball too easily and we seem a yard slower than every team we play (if you include the later preseason games). Nombe was good, he chased everything and deserved his goal, if the others worked as hard as he does we would have a chance.
Jch much better very unlucky not to score, and I hear we are sending a video of jch to Hugill to show him how not to fall over constantly. Powell was good Kelly solid but doesn't look match fit. McCart solid as well.
We have to stop the constant fouling, though, we make it easy for the ref to annoy Evans, a man that spends more time moaning than managing.
Lots of work to do and we need to spend some money to give the squad balance.

I did see the match and also had a great evening. Grandson saw his first Millers win and thoroughly enjoyed the game. I must admit I don't pay too much attention to who plays well and who doesn't but to me Raggett looked a class player despite being booked in the first 60 seconds. Received a text from my daughter when we were 1-0 down. "Gone into labour Dad. Need you to get me to hospital but no need to leave the game early "

Good to meet up again pal. Grandson has shot up since I last saw him!

Think I put the curse on you asking if your daughter had recently given birth …😄 good luck with everything.

I was reasonably encouraged last night. Powell looks an outstanding prospect - good with both feet and competitive. JCH is a good target man - won most of his aerial battles and I thought he worked well with Nombe. Raggett and McCart did well and we limited Crewe to very few attempts on goal. Good to see some quality crosses and we were unfortunate not to have coverted a couple more.

The downsides - right back needs sorting sharpish! And McWilliams - seen him twice now and still not sure what he brings to the game?

Overall a decent performance against a useful side who reached the play-off final last season, so they were no mugs. Plenty of work to do but a step in the right direction. Team selection on Saturday will be interesting.

Good solid performance and 2nd game where we have created enough chances to get 4 or 5 goals.
Dawson didn't do anything wrong to make me think Phillips should start Saturday...
Again mccart and raggetts looked solid.
James at LB made our defence more balanced. The small bloke at RB worked hard and didn't stop getting up and down all game, will make a decent cover for Rafferty...
Front 2 did good and a few more games together will make a good partnership..
Midfield. We were too narrow. We're still missing a right winger as I'm not sure Holmes is the answer though would have been good for Evans to give him 30 min last night.
Powell looks class and Kelly needs games to get fit.
Tithe has looked the weak link in midfield for the first 2 games. He's not pacy, doesn't tackle particularly hard and he's not a playmaker .
McWilliams looked like he needs game time though didn't do much to impress except work hard last night.
