It’s not though it’s about doing research and due diligence, and in some (not most) the recruitment has been poor, to say the least. Goalkeeping and defensively is where it has been highlighted mostly.

But attacking wise it has been very good.

Club have been very open that they have changed what they are looking for from defensive and goalkeeper transfers and you can see that it the current signings. Bigger, stronger defenders with football league experience.

Recruitment can't have been that bad as they've gained a promotion and sat comfortably mid table last year.

I find it absolutely astonishing we’ve got our best owners since Pavis which must be 30 odd years. The best recruitment in 30 odd years. Probably the best off the field revenue ever and cos we’re 2 or 3 players short and other clubs want our players the worlds ending?

We'd have run out of town any previous owners who'd delivered a best league position in 5 years of the bottom half of the 4th division.
We should of course be grateful they saved the club from the mess Hardy made but 5 years on we're still a level below what most of us consider to be par for the club. It's not really a triumph.

We can argue amongst ourselves about the merits or shortcomings of the owners, we'll know objectively that we have the real deal when Fword fans' attitude to Notts reverts back to what it was during the Dunnett, Pavis and Munto years and they begin to be annoyed by us and see us as a potential problem again.

I would say, given the chasm in difference between football finances at the PL level and ours, this would take years and years to even start to achieve and may not even be achievable through no fault of our own.

Let that mob get on with what they want to do. We should measure ourselves by far more realistic contexts.

    Yes it’s a different spin.
I would argue every owner before in 20 years plus has probably left us worse off than where they found us.
That culminated in us nearly being bust a few times, in the graveyard of the NL which numerous clubs have struggled to get out of with the ridiculous 1 promotion spot out of it.

The best bit is I don’t think any of the owners were really ran out of town, yet the owners that have a net position of a division higher aren’t a triumph 😂😂😂

The day I judge my club to what a Forest fan thinks of it will be a cold day in hell, actually baltic 😂
