Just got back. Would have taken the draw before kick off to be honest. I think everyone played well and could not fault anyone. As others have said I do not know why Fellows was on the left and Grant on the right. Think it may have been a defensive tactic as Fellows was battling a lot with for me their most dangerous player in Gnonto. I wish we had him. Puts in a great shift off the ball and dangerous with it. After two games I feel a bit more confident that this season won't be a relegation battle. I can still see Carlos walking if he does not get the three more players in he wants.

TBH I'd have taken 4 points from those first two games at the start of the season. We just need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal.

Fellows should have been on the right and I am just not convinced about Grant, he’s a player of last resort in my book. I wish that we could have offloaded Diangana, a waste of space. Disappointed.

Good atmosphere at the ground and a result that most fans would have taken pre KO.
The Fellows / Grant wing swap was indeed strange. I wonder whether Carlos’ had always intended to swap Wallace for Grant and this starting format facilitated same?
Heggem impressed again, but didn’t push up as much as I had hoped.
Swift was well involved, but seem to favour moving the ball to the right wing when easier options were available via Fellows.
Tremendous one on one critical tackle by Bartley.
One or two very dangerous back passes involving Palmer and some ‘hospital’ short passes from Bartley and indeed AJ
Grant put a decent shift in as did Mowatt.
Molumby was rightly subbed, particularly after his yellow card. He has a habit of giving the ref some backchat (a la Gayle) and he will be subject to some harsh decisions as a result.
    Furlong was solid again.
All in all a decent afternoon apart from the £6.25 for a beer !

£6.25 for a beer, in West Bromwich, where was that?

I thought Heggam played very well again apart from a 10-15 min spell in the 2 nd half when he caused us problems by losing his positioning and a couple of crazy passes, for a guy who has never really played at this level before his performances in the first two games have been outstanding, it just goes to show how bad Townsend was
