Be interesting to see if Dan Crowley is in the squad tomorrow?

Would help if you outlined the severe problems?

I asked you about the comment saying the midfield was weaker and you chose not to answer? So on the basis we’ve lost JOB, JB and Baj and replaced them with Hinchy, Grant and Edwards are we saying it’s a lot a weaker. I honestly don’t know as I dont how good the new guys are but you must have more insight than me????

I take it you will be there tomorrow, sat in protest of course, but at least there?

Yes, I’ll be there, thanks. Will you pop down from your high horse to join us?

Before you misquote me, I said that both the midfield and strike force were weaker. Not just the midfield in isolation. To answer your question, in terms of the midfield - I believe that the former options are stronger, more experienced and more able than the current crop, yes. As for the strike force, I would have thought that the deficiencies are so obvious that even you could pick up on them, black and white spectacles or otherwise.

Is that clear enough for you or need I make it simpler?

So many people who could run the club so much better with someone else’s money! We could be like the Harlech Globetrotters !

That well known Welsh basketball team LOL (are you meaning Wrexham or is that a mistake). Joke over and you are absolutely right, it is so easy for those who do not have to manage a clubs finances and day to day operations. Easy when you have a save button before the next game in Football Manager

I 100% agree up front we’re weaker, how can’t you be if you lose Macca, but it’s one position and who’s to say Jatta won’t fill his shoes or at least to a certain extent and of course Scott’s back.

As for the midfield yes more experienced but I doubt JOB had another season in him at this level. JB I would have probably kept even though he’d gonna off the ball for months and Baj as much as Burton see something in him, LW didn’t even give him that much game time even on the NL.
I don’t know if the new guys will cut it or not, all have played at a decent level, but I think it’s a brave call to say their going to be weaker to the other 3.

We scored 89 goals but conceded 86 goals last season. Historically you can get automatic promotion scoring 20 less goals providing you concede less than one goal a game or about a goal a game on average. That's going to be key this season bringing that 86 goals down by a good 30 or more which will offset the loss of Macca's 28 goals.

Besides I believe Jatta and Scott are capable of scoring 20 goals between them. 13 for Jatta and 7 for Scott I don't think is too high an expectation either. As long as McGoldrick, JJ and Crowley and the new midfielders contribute similar amounts of goals to the players that were here last season we will be fine.

we've played exactly 1 (one) league game and 1 (one) cup game with significantly different line ups. Honestly wouldn't trust any 'analyst' (apologist or bedwetter) to draw useful conclusions from such a limited data pool. Is it some kind of bragging rights thing to jump to extreme conclusions first so you can say I knew Munto wuz a scam/Edwards is pants from the beginning? I prefer the patient approach of the bros to the kneejerks that some fans and some previous owners seem to prefer.

And don't understand the binary thinking of apologist/bedwetter either. Our recent recruitment has been inconsistent it's true, from the Randall, Morias types, to the Macca types, to the JJ, Bostock, and Dan C types, and don't talk to me about goalies. But any other league 2 club would kill for our overall recruitment record! Macca might be a longshot that came off, but with the renaissance of JJ and DC (and to a lesser extent Bostock too) is proof that RM's recruitment highs are really high.

So I'm an apologist on recruitment so far. But I'm definitely a bedwetter on injuries. IMO they're having a far bigger impact on our results than our forward line. How devastating was our injury list to our promotion chances last year? Already this season, it's played havoc with our first XI and forced SM into difficult decsions! Buying players with injuries, hard training grounds, malingerers, I dunno, but you'd hope for a more fit % of players at the beginning of the season.

I predict a thumping away win in Zululand.

I wouldn't either. It seems you have to be either an apologist or bedwetter, but I'm more of a fence setter because I haven't seen a single game yet. I think we'll score less and concede less than last season, but I don't know how many either way. Therefore, my first tentative judgements will start at 3pm tomorrow.
