The nest looks & feels what it is/was, a soulless warehouse. It may be ok for some that want nothing more than a pre-match let's get battered booze up. None of this "street food from various vendors" was evident yesterday, it was just beer being sloshed around. The lawtons bar has more of a feel to it, but whilst on that subject the re-furb in there has been a let down, Lawtons Bar , as the name suggests should be just that, all (bar one) pictures have disapeared, where to i dont know, but they need to be put back.
There were three 'street food vendors', 2 inside and 1 pizza truck outside, where and why you are claiming there were NONE is quite bizzare. Also sounds like the Nest a) isn't to your taste and b) isn't meant to be for your taste.
Like it or not its going to make Notts a decent chunk of cash so instead of moaning maybe be just go somewhere else? Strange strange post.
My apologies but i just didnt see any vendors, after waiting 15 mins to actually gain entry, it wasnt the best of our first time experience, once in waiting nearly 20 mins to be served, we supped up after that and went to the Navvi which we didnt experience any of those other "niggles". Not a strange post at all, its an observation and comment of what WE experienced.
As far as i am concerned Lawton's bar has as much relevance at Meadow Lane and NCFC as the 1862 above the Sirrel stand, i have been going in there since it's inception, its had its problems in the past, flooding etc, there used to be probably hundreds of pictures on the walls relevent to Tommy Lawton, after the re-furb they disapeared.Your comments smack of if its not banging and pretty lights it should be shoved away in a box, "Time to move on youthinks, Time to still hold memories of this once in a lifetime Meadow Lane methinks".

What I am suggesting is that it is no good living in the past. I would suggest that 80%+ of our support weren't even born at the time. It is of even less relevance than that lot over the river when they keep going on about 2 matches that they won over 40 years ago.
It was suggested by Dug Out that in his view that The Nest was "soulless" and that the Lawton bar was better. Have you been in the Lawton bar (even with the photos)? "Drab" doesn't do it justice. In my view it has only one purpose and that is to be a refuge at half time on a cold wet winters night at half time.
To make matters worse, in his follow up post he then admits that after leaving The Nest he went down the Navi instead of the Lawton bar.
