In my opinion the Scottish Government should give the winter fuel allowance to all the pensioners in Scotland the vast majority of whom have worked and paid their taxes and stop pouring methadone down the throats of junkies as this is a waste of money.
Didn’t say all were greedy, said the greedy ones won’t get it this year, 100% on the methadone programme

The methadone programme is not working. The only winners are the owners of the pharmacies where the junkies go to get their daily swig of methadone.

The pensioners who have a small superannuation will earn too much to receive pension credit and the winter fuel allowance whilst the pensioners who have never worked a day in their lives or have squandered their money will qualify for the winter heating allowance.
    That is not fair.
Everyone who is old enough to qualify to receive the winter fuel allowance should receive it instead of the Labour Government looking after their union ‘chums’ who bankroll the Labour Party, giving them inflation busting pay increases which will push up the inflation rate.
Incidentally the current RPI prices index is 3.6% compared to 2.9% the previous month.
There has been no mention about this 0.7% increase by Rachel Reeves the Chancellor of the Exchequer or the Main Stream Media because it does not suit their agenda.

Feckless should not be rewarded, saving and "doing the right thing" should be

Winter allowance should be universal or not at all.

Requirement could easily be self inflicted.

    Agree.

There's a massive difference between millionaires that's quoted and those just above pension credit threshold

What the Communists should have done is

    1. Give up their own expense allowance for heating second home

    2. Made it far easier for those that didn't want the money to say they don't need it.

    3. If they stop giving money to our own born and bred pensioners, they should stop feeding, clothing and heating illegals

    4. Acknowledge that the further north you go the ****ing colder it gets and if they couldn't afford ( they can ) to keep it universal then only pay it when the temp falls to a certain level.

Winter allowance should not be given to pensioners with gym memberships and who holiday abroad three times a year.
