But the same thing happens with Labour MP's, as recently shown 50% of them get funds from unions.

It certainly means that they are being influenced and their decisions being lob sided.

Personally, I'd up the salary, no second jobs, no back handers.
You either do the job as it stands or not at all.
When a bloody train driver can get nearly as much as an MP, for pulling a few levers, pushing a few buttons. Then something is seriously wrong.

Glad we agree about NO MP’s having second jobs but don’t see why the salary needs increasing.

Not sure train drivers just ‘pull a few levers and push a few buttons’. Suppose you could say much the same about pilots and those coach drivers…just push a couple of pedals and turn a big wheel!!
Seem to have a pretty big responsibility to me…possibly even more than estate agents and accountants.
