A player doing ok/good in a struggling laliga side may well do better in a league with much less quality. So yes I see that potential.
What I agree on is yet again poor planning, if there is any at all. And we always seem to be rock bottom of the cash in and out in comparison to any other club.
Exactly - like his back story too came through Man U’s academy and they wanted to keep him
but he left to get first team football. Was the best player in his La Liga side and out in some good performances against some top sides.

Fact he had the good sense to get out of Man U suggests the lad has some common sense too.

Nothing like some of us writing people off before the book has been read.

WTF - “Been a LUFC supporter since I was 8, I'm now 68 and really past caring what becomes of the club I have followed for all that time?”

    Bye then 👏

The owners KNOW that the vast majority of supporters will do exactly the same, and f00k us over time and time and f00king time AGAIN!!!!!!

Been a LUFC supporter since I was 8, I'm now 68 and really past caring what becomes of the club I have followed for all that time. Why?

We haven't had owners since Mr Silver and Manny who valued the club more than themselves, all who followed have traded in what was created under their ownership and via the management of the great Don. Others followed and attempted to replicate what went before, none, even Macallister etc, succeeded. All the more recent ownership transfers have been a grubby scramble for the bare bones of what was once a proud and creditable club, including our most recent manifestation of "the next big thing".
Cussins and Silver… managed to help turn the biggest club in the land into a dog’s dinner with their lack of forward thinking. We could have have signed anybody we wanted..Selling 2 of our players to scum and not giving Johnny Giles the managers job to boot…Harry Reynolds, Albert Morris and Percy Woodward oversaw the important building of the club.

It would appear that it is 'That time of the month' for one of our fellow posters on here.

I think this might be a good signing.

Really hope he can finish. Rest of the tools seem to be there.

Had the same accusation levelled against me over many seasons during which time we signed the likes of Sloth, Buoy, Sackho, JKA, Roca, Kristensen, etc, etc. Happy with my judgement prior to those and similar "playing" for us versus that of those signing the cheques. Same applies to this newcomer.

Ok, which player are you calling a tool (plenty to choose from!)?

Harsh? A player who can't hack it here, who has contributed next to nothing in terms of goals and assists whilst playing for a struggling la liga side, and is (supposedly) being regarded as a Summerville replacement. Not harsh in the slightest, just less of a "looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses" is all. Desperation time signing, nothing more nothing less, and will be as significant for LUFC as Gyabi was.
