Romared Match Thoughts Barnsley v Northampton Town

Gone for a bore draw in the Predictions League , in my opinion it will probably be like this for the majority of the season , a defeat , a win followed by a draw and repeat .

Wouldn't be the worst idea to get Hourihane in the team tomorrow , at least we know he can pass a ball , keep possession and keep us ticking over given there's nobody else come in to replace Herbie Kane that can do that .

With all the midfield and defensive players on our books surely we can afford to trade a few in on for a decent STRIKER

What a unbalanced squad we have.

After watching the performance of young Yoga the other night when he netted twice I wonder if Mr Clarke might consider using him up top in some form against the cobblers, it might only be a stop gap but it is a temporary option he might consider , of course when our owners bring in the strikers next week such measures will not be required , I am not holding my breath.

Got to put it in context of who he was playing against Shad with all due respect , other than Heaton in goal the Man Utd team were proper kids he was facing .

Kids not even ready to go out on loan from United as yet .

I take the point Yoga doesn't choose the opposition and can only be judged accordingly but I think coming off the bench would be my shout at this point in his development and work from that .

I agree with everything you say and my thoughts were to have him on the bench thus providing cover for the middle of the park and an option to throw up top , I also think the quality of the opposition plays a big part but sometimes every now and then someone who you least expect pops up with an eye for a goal and this lad took his chances very smartly , however the point of my original comment was to simply highlight the poor hand Clarke has been dealt so far with the balance of his squad and with the main problem up top not being resolved , there should be no excuses as the board new before the end of last season that our goal scorers were departing , once again our club are guilty of making their own problems.

Clearly looking after Pines after his injury last season and only coming back last week at Lincoln .

Hourihane was a no brainer in my opinion and glad Clarke has recognised that .

I gave up as well, picture quality rubbish and no sound!
Not impressed with Mr Clarke over the last 2 games 2 nil up in both and with him thinking we are home and dry his changes have led to a defeat and a draw!

Obviously due to the technical malfunction I've not seen hardly anything of the game , probably not a bad outcome to be honest .

No home wins since February 24th against Derby County !! .

Two nil up against a team not expected to challenge for the top 6 and not able to see it out doesn't bode well .

As I've said previously this season has all the hallmarks of inconsistency and mid table mediocrity also known as managed decline .

We are a genuine established league one club now and this goes deeper than a 2-2 draw at home to Northampton .

The stench of decline has existed since Windass broke our hearts at Wembley at this level .

I see nothing to suggest the owners are capable of turning it around .
