    Nelms interview and Campy Video

Watched both last night, the video of the new stadium looks fantastic, can't see how any Dundee fan wouldn't get excited about this project.Nobgonna go over "never gonna happen" but would elevate the club big time imo.
Who's funding it etc,I'm no caring it looks great and surely we all want our club to be better?
As for the interview he comes across well, explains reasons for having to move and of course we are a selling club but only for the right price.
I'm an optimist and hope in say 5 years we have this new facility for all the new younger fans.
If only he worked on getting the fans more involved and communicating better we wud get there quicker.
Motherwell boy on as well saying they almost sold to a yank also but the boy pulled out as it was dividing the fan base.

Ps just my opinions and I still can't believe a successful businessman like Tim Keyes is doing all this for no end game.
    We shall see.
    Hopefully 3 points today.👍

There is an end game, large profit.

Whose funding it "Im not caring" .....that's 2001 2002........all over again.

So far there's been 2 cartoons......let's see the movie called "spades in the ground" premiere before we start hailing emperor nelms.

He is changing history in the video......he says it was always their intention.....not what they said when they took over and the take over possibly wouldn't have happened if they told the truth or convenient lie that is being told now.....depending on point of view.

And if the retail park is built you can bet your bottom dollar that ain't the stadium we will be renting, almost guarantee much more basic.

£25 million, £40 million, £98 million.....£150 million when/if thing built.......100 year mortgage which looks like is going to be attached to the club in some form......2021, 2025, 20 and when? ...as Dens falls down.

Nelms always comes across well, it's his best asset, just no substance to it or enough of it

His east fife trial is akin to two keirs father being a toolmaker.

    Just my opinion. 😂

Just to add I like a bit of Grand Designs with Kevin McLeod.

Ken at the start of every episode he meets the couple they discuss what they are doing with unbridled optimism and tell Kevin it will take a fortnight and thirty bob to do.......Kevin listens intently and nods........3 years later after messy divorce, stroke brought on by stress, a muddy hole in the ground and the bairns traumatised after having 3rd Xmas in a caravan with no heating they admit "if only I knew".........sometimes it works oot well though .......and they don't actually die. 😜

    Hibs 2 v Dundee 3.......

Dundee Football Club could possibly be in a worse position financially then they are at present playing in a shiny new stadium at Campy Nou.
They will still have to pay a rent to the financiers who have paid for the cost of building and fitting out the new stadium plus there is no guarantee that Dundee Football Club will receive even a share of the profits from the restaurants and bars in the new stadium whereas at present we keep all the profits from the sale of hospitality in the Dens Park lounges.
It is easy to produce fancy videos of other new football stadiums but financing the cost of building them is a different ball game altogether.
Darlington Football Club went bust because they built a fancy new football stadium holding about 15k spectators but they did not get sufficient people paying their admission money to finance the repayment costs of their new stadium.
I am surprised that DCT and posters on TDB have not stated anything about the Directors of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited (DBPHL) borrowing funds from the Isle of Man based financial company Soho Green at monthly interest rates of between 0.75% and 2% (9% to 24% per annum) on 24th November 2022 with the new stadium development site put up as security for their loan.
This was two months after John Nelms stated shortly before the second DBPHL Pre Application Notice meeting in the Landmark Hotel on 27th September 2022 that the cost of their new stadium development at the Camperdown Retail Park (Campy Nou) was almost fully funded and if any funds were required they could easily borrow these funds from financial firms in the City of London.
If that is the case why did the directors of DBPHL not borrow the money on 24th November 2022 from financial firms in the City of London instead of a financial firm based in the Isle of Man charging ‘pay day’ lending rates for their loans.

If the Dundee FC directors had stuck with Dave McKinnon’s plans for running Dundee Football Club instead of looking for external investment resulting in Calum Melville bank rolling Dundee Football Club we would still own Dens Park and John Nelms would never have been heard of Dundee.

Nelms might come over well when he is reading from a pre written statement but he will not answer searching questions from the Dee4life board of directors on behalf of their members and the wider Dundee FC support regarding the new stadium at Campy Nou and how it will affect Dundee Football Club financially.

When FPS purchased a majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited in August 2013 they stated that they would buy back Dens Park from Sandeman Properties Limited for the Dundee supporters who would then repay them over a period of time.
Therefore for Nelms to state that it was always their (FPS) intention to build a new stadium is wrong.
Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited was formed and registered at Companies House on 28th May 2015 for the joint venture between Dundee Football Club Limited and Dundee City Council to build a large new Sports centre at Caird Park which hit the buffers in June 2016 less than a month before Tim Keyes purchased the 29.7 acres area of waste ground in the former NCR Camperdown playing fields which had been advertised for sale by Vico Camperdown Limited for about five years with no interest. Tim Keyes purchased the 29.7 acres of waste ground for £1,296,000 on 8th July 2016 (Source Companies House and the Land Register).

I enclose the lavish new video of the new stadium development at Campy Nou which is available to view on the club website. https://dundeefc.co.uk/news/camperdown-flythrough/
This video has been generated from a Computer Aided Design (CAD) the same way as a kitchen designer starts off with an empty room and installs the requirements of their customer for their new kitchen using a Computer Aided Design.
It is stated in the enclosed Q and A that the total cost of the project is £95 million paid for with a 100 year mortgage. The buildings and the new stadium are unlikely to still be standing in their current form in fifty years time let alone 100 years time without major repairs and/or rebuilding. This will cost a lot more money which will have to be repaid.
The article also speaks about Dundee Football Club being in operation in 150 years time.
If Dundee FC keeps losing £2.8 million every year and Tim Keyes stops bank rolling them then they might not be still in business in five years as I do not think that the supporters have the stomach to attempt to fund raise for Admin 3.
