This match takes on a completely different look with the Jambos bottom of the league and possibly out of the Europa League if they fail to beat Plzen on Thursday. Their fans are raging with Naismith and the players. It's even possible they could be managerless by next weekend.
But hopefully JG just prepares the players in the normal way and we look to take the game to them while the pressure's on them.
No idea what side Goodwin will choose but Docherty back in definitely makes us look better so hopefully he gets the nod.
Alternatively they might get a boost if they win midweek. Tynecastle can be toxic when the natives turn restless, I'll try my best as I've got a ticket in the home end. Never saw the point in sacking neilson only to appoint Naismith, debated with my Jambo mate last season that shankland was only difference between them and everyone else rather than any managerial masterclass.
This will be a tough one as they are all talking about this one being a huge game already and not fussed about the Plzen game
We need to be strong mentally and disciplined in the day to take advantage of any weaknesses or any big response in front of their home support
I'd start with
Walton
Adeboyega Gallagher Graham
Luca Docherty Holt Sibbald Ferry
Trapanowski VDS
With Moult and Babunski to come on second half
Has anyone heard if they have been successful in the ballot?
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere.
Å*evelj had a hamstring issue, back in the squad for Tynecastle would think.
Doc has come on in the last 2 as a sub, looked fine, whether ready to start I don't know. Holt has done well in that midfield 3 and it's improved us because a midfield 2 of Babunski and Sibaldi was a disaster. Adds height at set pieces too, but Doc has a forward pass in him a more creative force.
Ideal scenario their Europa league game goes to extra time.
