My Jambo mole tells me Naismith has made 17 personnel changes to the starting line up for their last 3 games. If Pilsner FC beat them on Thursday I'd be going down there with a bit of confidence.

My biggest fear for this game is United's history of letting under pressure managers off the hook, over the years we have given stays of execution to plenty of them. The biggest of these takes me back to when we were champions and our manager was the legendary Jim McLean. We had started the defence of our title by winning 5 straight games beating Dundee and The Sheep away on that run.

The Glasgow Rangers(RIP) manager John Greig showed up at Tannadice on the 1st of October, they were on another terrible run and he was a virtual prisoner in his own home. They beat us 0-2 and his job was secure albeit only until the end of that month when he resigned. We really should be able to go to Tynecastle and get a result but there is no way i will be investing any dough on it.

Hope but not expectation is my current mindset for this game. No reason at all that we can't give them another hard game though

Might look more defensive on the face of it but I think would allow us to be tight and very more control in the game and to attack using wing backs and forwards

Also no way Holt isn't starting

For me would be a middle three
    Doc Holt Sibbs

That type of game and reckon we can take a point, certainly shouldn't ever be a write off fixture for DUFC

Shankland a big doubt for their euro game tomorrow. Hasn't trained all week with a knee issue. Surely must be doubtful to start Sunday???

Shankland not in the squad for the game tonight. So yes definitely a doubt for Sunday, might not even be at the Club come Sunday.

Aye, strange he is all of a sudden injured and the window closes tomorrow.

Need to be more concerned about how we approach the game and not let complacency creep in around what has and might happen.

They will be desperate to get back to winning ways...so we need to get ripped right into them from the off. We need to knock the confidence straight out of them. They will be doing anything to get a win and end a poor run...so we will need to be on top form to get anything from the game!

Losing again this evening while showing very little heaps the pressure onto them for Sunday, get a good start and the Gorgie natives will be calling for Naismith's head within 15mins. If they aren't already.
