    Match Rating Vs Swindon

Just back from the County Ground and here are my ratings from the away section:

Bass 8.5 - claimed crosses , made saves and no heart attack with ball at feet
Tsaroulla 6.5 defended well, limited going forward
    Bedeau 7 solid
Platt 8 very impressive does what we couldn’t do last season for 90 mins
    Macari 6.5 slightly disappointing
Hinch 6 too soon to fill in for Robbie
Grant 6.5 classy player needs a little more involvement
    Edwards 6.5 ok
Crowley 6 quite and didn’t impact game
Jones 6.5 disappointing by his standards
McGoldrick 8.5 needed him to step up and he did so and the some

Palmer 6.5 needed at that point in game but not back to best yet as you would expect
Gordon 6 hmmmm , not enough to comment
Scott 6 didn't have an impact during difficult period
    Abbott 7 I liked what I saw

Maynard 7.5 did the subs we needed when we needed them. Didn’t hang about to make the first changes

    About right I would say.

The defensive unit was good, the midfield unit lightweight at times, especially out of possession, particularly Edwards. We need more bite in midfield to maintain control of the game.

    Didzy was tremendous.

I do think Robertson will be a key player for us this season if he can overcome his recent injury problems. He’s the only physical player on the books, with the rest of the midfield a little lightweight by comparison. Don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone pulling a chest muscle before, let’s hope it doesn’t take too long to heal and he can start training again soon.

I did once, assuming we're talking about the intercostal muscles (i.e. those between the ribs). Not a big deal as far as I can tell.

Very painful though if you've ever had one.

Can take a good few weeks to fully recover and very easy to injure again if it's not fully healed.
