Morning all,
I'm a Notts fan and S/T holder of 35 years and have brought my Boys up 19&16 to follow suit.
Earlier this year our world was turned upside down when were given the devastating news that our youngest had been diagnosed with a cancerous Sarcoma.
He's currently undergoing an intensive treatment plan of chemotherapy at Nottinghams QMC. He will also have to go to Manchester for 6 weeks for proton radiotherapy and to Birmingham to have surgery to have the mass removed and then another grueling course of chemotherapy.
This is something no child should ever have to go through.
Throughout his treatment, the children's oncology ward E39 at QMC and the ****age Cancer Trust have been brilliant and so supportive, so we decided to give something back.
On bank holiday Monday we held a charity match up at Arnold Town fc to raise some much needed funds for the charity and the ward E39. We've raised just over 5k towards our 7k target.
It would be fantastic if we could reach that target before Saturday when the collection finishes. We have a just giving page set up if anybody is in a position to help one of our own.
I know times are hard but every little helps.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Brilliant effort , I'll look now. He has probably met my other half too, she is the pain management nurse specialist on qmc children's wards
Truly awful for the lad, as a Magpie he's already got the kind of resilience I am sure will see him through this. Donated and wishing him well.
I'd just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that donated today on our just giving page. It has got us almost to out intended target of 7K, we're just under £200 off.
Your generosity means the world to us, so one again thank you to our fantastic supporters 🖤🤍
